Nova Scotia, week nine: Green Dragon speed

Hello Everyone,
Because it had a cruising speed of Mach 2.04, the nose of the famed Aérospatiale/BAC Concorde had to be polished to a mirror shine. Small imperfections can cause problems when you rip through the skies as it did. Like the Concorde, my 2015 Prius C is an engineering marvel capable of extraordinary rates of travel, sometimes in excess of Mach 0.081. Needless to say, the windshield on the Green Dragon also needs to be flawless.
A few days ago, however, Emilie noticed a small crack in the windshield. We were in a cold snap, with snow on the ground, and were blasting the heater right at it, so it wasn't long before the small crack grew diagonally across the field of view. Given the pressure sustained at the Green Dragon's cruising speed, that windshield needed replacing. Thankfully, Ron at Scotia Glass could order one in from a high performance parts dealer Moncton and have it installed in a few days.

I know that going to farmer's markets is a stereotype for my demographic (handsome, brown haired guys who enjoy the practicality of additional pockets on their pants), and stereotypes are lazy thinking, but on Saturday we went to two different farmer's markets. And we bought a lot of woolen goods. We're basically straight out of an L.L. Bean catalog.
First, there was our regular stop here in West Dublin. There may only be one vegetable guy and one meat guy, but they are honestly the tastiest vegetables and meat I think I've ever had. We got some woolen goods here too, baby toys and Christmas ornaments handmade by some lovely older ladies fundraising for local Waldorf school. Then we drove to Halifax for their market and picked up a sheepskin and some wool blankets for our new home, and arrival.
While in the Halifax area, we went for a great hike along the the shore. Lots of people on the path, but it was a beautiful day, so that was expected. We were out for two hours on rough terrain, then grabbed some burgers to eat in the car while we watched the spontaneous celebrations in the US. It was a good day.
